SOUTHPORT District Scouts and Cubs are inviting former members to join them in a global celebration of 100 years of Scouting.
‘Scouting Sunrise’ will be a worldwide remembrance of the movement, exactly 100 years to the minute Robert Baden-Powell commenced the first ever camp.

Released to the wild

A PAIR of Little Owls is settling into their new home in the open countryside of Banks.
The siblings were released into fields outlying the village around a year after they were rescued as chicks after the death of their mother, and have since been reared at Three Owls Bird Sanctuary near Rochdale.
