Us and Them
we the mighty few, the chosen ones, the elight of the majority the selected amongst others,i dont know about the rest of you but 'we' are limited as to what we can do by the officials? as well as our ailments it follows therefore that our wives/husbands are as limited as us (unless they have an extreamly well paid job).
This in turn restricts our social activities and not only our ailments but our finances make us outcasts amongst society. What 'they' dont realise is that were not stupid just slower than average normally because of our medication so, that (in there eyes) makes us unemployable but, what is normal. Normal is a constraint put upon society by the majority, it would follow therefore that if we can bring the majority to realise that we are normal, the concept of it would change and so would our life styles. There are many epilepsy groups that 'chat' about there ailments and thats good but we need to discuss cause and effect and how we can change us and our partners life styles for the better. Equally and as important 'we' need to make employers and politicians aware that we can be an asset not a constraint, (as recently portrayed on TV with the National Health advert discusing 'mental illness' and Florance Nightingdale). So, lets make an issue of this, if the NSPCA can do it why cant we stand for our own?
