View imagePresident and Club Champion Phil Fisher welcomes all members and prospective members to the Ravenmeols Community Centre on Thursday September 4th at 1945 for a 2000 start.
Traditionally the evening consists of a handicap tournament during which the higher the team that you play for the less time you have on the clock.
It is normally run over about five rounds and Phil provides prizes for the winners of the tournament.
Phil has been particularly active in the summer seaon with a good performance in the South Lakes Congress and a creditable performance in Major Open at the British Championship.
No doubt inspired by Formby's top player International Grandmaster Stewart Haslinger, who treated eleven members of the club to a simultaneous display, Phil has been giving his own mini simultaneous displays at the club during the summer.
So if you are already a member or may want to join, come along and join in the fun.
