Since The Prince's Trust launched a new grant scheme to help 18 - 30 year olds become self employed, interest from young people in Southport and the Sefton borough has soared.
Sefton Area Manager, Paul Hunt is delighted that the scheme is providing an opportunity for young unemployed adults to become their own boss without having to get loans to do so.
Paul explained "So far this year Sefton is seeing more young people go into self employment than any other borough of Merseyside. I have been delighted to work with so many enterprising people and hope that we can support even more young people to get their lives working."
Grants of up to £1,200 have been available through The Prince's Trust in this area since June this year anyone in Sefton who wants to find out more can contact The Prince's Trust on 0151 794 3197 or e-mail paul.hunt@princes-trust.org.uk
The Trust still has loans available for young people who need more than £1,200 to set up in business with the new grant scheme offering an alternative rather than additional source of funding.
