THE RICHARD HART SINGERS’ SUMMER CONCERT – A MIDSUMMMER EVE’S MUSIC
EMMANUEL CHURCH ON 30TH JUNE AT 7.30 PM
This year, the Summer Concert presented by popular local choir, the Richard Hart Singers, will be held on 30th June in Emmanuel Church at 7.30 pm.
As usual, Musical Director, Brian Lea has assembled a programme of songs to suit all tastes, from Classical Choral Works, both Sacred and Secular through modern Pop Ballads to excerpts from Musical Shows. Well known local Operatic Soprano, Valerie Watts has graciously agreed to appear as Guest Artiste and will thrill the audience with a selection from her huge repertoire. To contrast with the vocal items, former Musical Director Michael Bennett will entertain on Emmanuel’s magnificent Church Organ – all in all an evening of superb music to while away a Summer Saturday Evening.
Tickets costing £6, with a free Glass of Wine or Soft Drink and Cheese & Biscuits, are now available from Gail Gray (01704 548737) and Barbara Preston (01704 213368) and of course at the door on the night. All profits will be donated to the Liver Cancer Appeal, a local Charity which is particularly dear to the Choir’s hearts – so please come along and support this worthy cause.
