Young People from Southport got busy bag packing to raise funds to improve their community this week. It was all just a part of the twelve week challenge they face completing The Prince’s Trust Team in conjunction with Southport Fire Service.
As part of the twelve week programme the 16 – 25 year olds taking part choose a group, cause or project in the community to support and are currently looking at three different projects before deciding which to dedicate funds, manpower and passion to completing.
The Team along with Assistant Team Leader Anna Doherty raised an amazing £450 for their efforts and know that this will really make a difference to whichever community group they decide to support.
Anna said: “The whole of Southport Team 7 would like to thank the staff and customers of Morrison’s whose generous support and encouragement made the event a real pleasure. Team makes a real difference to people’s lives and the money raised will too.”

The next Team programme in Southport will commence in September and places will be available for unemployed 16 – 25 year olds who want to take part in an amazing adventure and change their outlook on life forever.
