About us:
Southport Movie Makers were founded in 1949 making it one of the longest running societies in the North West. Originally founded as a film making group in a church youth club, it later became a more general society. Built up a strong reputation over the years and has won numerous awards. Interested in creating a wide variety of productions: documentary, drama and experimental films. We meet each Thursday at 8pm in St James\' Church Hall, Lulworth Road, Birkdale, Southport. Applications for membership are always welcome.
