Sale supports eco project

Posted by Digital Editor on May 10, 2007 8:13 PM |

MEMBERS of Tarleton Holy Trinity Primary School’s eco committee organised a spring- clean to raise money towards the school’s supergrounds project.
The project is to develop an environmentally friendly outdoor learning area, and is sponsored by NatWest bank. The school has already been successful in being awarded a £1,000 grant.

Children brought old books, toys and games to sell to fellow pupils and friends, and also wrote letters to the local business community asking for their support, which also raised more funds for the project.
Ann Buck, from NatWest, said: “The children worked extremely hard organising, promoting the sale and gathering all the toys together.
“Their commitment and energy towards this project has been fantastic.”
