Introduction to Jospice

Posted by Jospice Lottery on May 9, 2007 2:25 PM |

St Josephs Hospice or Jospice, as it is locally known, has provided care for over 40 years to the very sick and terminally ill people of Merseyside and West Lancashire – with 25 beds in Thornton and 14 in Ormskirk.

We provide 24 hour in-patient care with particular expertise in nursing the long term degenerative or disabling conditions, as well as palliative care.

The focus of Jospice has always been the needs of patients with real dedication to enhancing their quality of life. The heart of our care is the work of our multi-skilled nurses supported by two specialist GP’s complimentary therapist, and chiropodist. Families are helped in the long term by the family support nurse.
