Are you looking for something to do with the kids over the summer? Well we have arranged many different activities and events to suit everyone! And the best part of it is it’s free!
So if you want to keep it local and not too expensive, check out what’s on in your area!
Birkdale Library has many activities so just pick out the ones that interest you and go along!
Come along and join in our craft sessions, inspired by the Big Wild Read, Summer Reading Challenge, running on the 25/07/07 and 08/08/07 from 10:30 – 11:30am.
There will be animal face painting artist at library to turn the children into animals and animal colouring sheets while they wait on the 01/08/07 at 10:30am.
There will also be collage making on the 22/08/07 from 10:30am
A Zoolab workshop on the 15/08/07 from 2:30pm so come along and meet a selection of slimy and scary beasts, the Zoolab ranger will introduce you to huge spiders, insects…are you brave enough to come along?
Coast and Countryside Rangers will do a Bug hunt outside the library; weather permitting, followed by bug and mask making and wildlife talk on the 28/08/07
Also every Tuesday at 10:30am there will be a story time session held at the library for children under 5. Story time is usually a short story followed by a simple craft activity and colouring sheets.
Birkdale Youth Centre is also putting on a few activities!
5 a side football day will be held on the 23/07/07 from 11am – 3pm
A BBQ will also be held at Birkdale Youth Centre on the 30/07 from 11am – 3pm
And there will be a water fun day on the 13/08/07 from 11am – 3pm
