Centre Manager, Andy Wooldridge, said: “Everyone at Martin Mere is delighted that the BBC is returning for Autumnwatch. It was a real honor to be part of the series last year as it not only raised awareness of Martin Mere but also of WWT conservation work. This is going to be an exciting year for the Centre and we are looking forward to working with the BBC to make the series a huge success.”

Last October, Autumnwatch was very popular with average viewing figures of 4 million. Martin Mere received a really positive response from the local community with reports suggesting that, bed and breakfast establishments in particular, were far busier than normal throughout the Autumnwatch period, helping to boost the local economy.
