About us:The society was formed in 1959, the first meeting taking place at St Johns Hall, Wright Street, Southport on February 28th. and the society has gone from strength to strength ever since. We celebrated our 45th anniversary in 2004!
We stage two operatic musicals productions a year, in May and November. Our members range from children through to grandparents and include several generations of the same family.
Over the years B.O.S has produced a variety of shows catering for all tastes from traditional blockbusters to the modern day musical. We pride ourselves on our high standards and continually strive for excellence.
Aside from our musical productions our concert party regularly perform for the community and charitable organisations. We have an active social membership and are well known for our friendly and fun approach.
The society is affiliated to the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) .We are extremely proud to have won a number of awards over the last few years.
